The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has announced that hot and humid weather conditions are expected to continue in coastal areas and nearby regions. On Saturday, meteorologists predict partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rain in southern and western coastal areas. Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, offering little relief from the ongoing heat.
According to a daily weather report received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), mountainous areas will experience partly cloudy and moderately warm conditions. There is a potential for thunderstorms in various locations across the western and southwestern slopes, extending eastward to parts of Lahij, Abyan, and Shabwa. In contrast, desert and plateau regions are likely to experience dry weather accompanied by partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures in these areas will be hot to extremely hot, while nighttime temperatures will be moderate. Winds are expected to be moderate to active, stirring up dust and sand.
The weather bulletin indicates the following expected maximum and minimum temperatures for Saturday:

The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center urges citizens, especially those in desert and coastal areas, to avoid direct sunlight during midday hours. High humidity levels in coastal regions may result in elevated heat indices. Residents in areas expecting rainfall should remain vigilant and steer clear of flood-prone regions, taking appropriate safety measures against lightning and strong winds.
In its daily marine bulletin, the center forecasts generally calm seas along the coasts of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the western coasts. The seas off Al-Mahra are expected to be light to moderate, while Socotra’s coasts may experience moderate waves. Regional waters in the Red Sea will remain calm, whereas the Gulf of Aden is likely to see light to moderate waves. Fishermen and sea-goers in the southern Socotra Archipelago and regional waters in the Arabian Sea and eastern Gulf of Aden are advised to exercise caution due to potential wind activity and rough seas.
As Yemen endures continued extreme heat coupled with the possibility of rain, residents are strongly advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center remains vigilant in monitoring conditions and will provide ongoing updates to keep the public informed.
