The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued an updated weather forecast for Thursday, indicating that coastal areas will experience generally mild temperatures. The forecast suggests partial cloud cover with a chance of scattered rain on Socotra Archipelago, as well as the southern and southwestern coasts. Winds in these regions will remain light to moderate.
According to the daily weather bulletin, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous areas will continue to experience dry and cold conditions, particularly during the night and early morning. The forecast also mentions the possibility of fog and low clouds forming in some areas. Additionally, the desert and inland plateau regions will see dry and clear weather during the day, with mild temperatures. Nights will be cold to very cold, with light to moderate winds.
The Weather Forecast Center has provided the expected maximum and minimum temperatures for several provinces today, Thursday:
The center has issued a warning to residents in mountainous areas about low temperatures. Citizens are urged to take necessary precautions, especially for children and the elderly. Additionally, drivers in mountainous regions should be cautious due to reduced visibility caused by fog. Farmers in elevated areas should also be aware of potential impacts on their crops due to very low temperatures.
In its daily marine bulletin, the Weather Forecast Center predicts that the sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab will remain calm. The western coasts will experience light to moderate waves, while the Socotra Archipelago will see moderate waves. The center warns fishermen and sea-goers in the Socotra Archipelago and regional waters in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea about potential disturbances and increased wind activity.
