The second special tasks team of the "Masam" project successfully executed a demolition and detonation operation today, eliminating 3,036 landmines and unexploded ordnance in the Bab al-Mandab area. This initiative forms part of the ongoing efforts to secure liberated areas and protect civilian lives.
During this operation, the team destroyed 53 anti-tank mines, 49 anti-personnel mines, and 97 assorted shells. Additionally, they disposed of seven explosive devices, 2,314 various rounds of ammunition, and 490 fuses and detonators. The operation also included the destruction of six Katyusha rockets, two other missiles, and 18 bombs of different types.
This operation aligns with the continuous activities of the "Masam" project, which aims to clear Yemeni land from mines and war remnants. The project significantly contributes to creating a safe and stable environment for local communities.
To date, "Masam" teams have successfully cleared over 66,860,348 square meters of Yemeni territory. This achievement has played a crucial role in restoring life and hope to vast areas previously threatened by danger.
