The Executive Office in Marib held its regular meeting today, chaired by the Deputy Governor Dr. Abdurrahman Muftah. The office expressed its support for the decisions made by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The office also endorsed the National Defense Council’s declaration of general mobilization and national alert, marking the beginning of a national campaign to restore state institutions and liberate areas controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
During the meeting, which included the presence of Deputy Governor Muhammad Al-Muawadi, the Executive Office reaffirmed its commitment to implementing these decisions. The office pledged to support the armed forces and popular resistance, rallying around political and military leadership until state institutions are restored and sovereignty is established across the entire national territory. This commitment aims to protect Yemen’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
The Executive Office commended the victories achieved by the armed forces and popular resistance on various fronts. It acknowledged the sacrifices made by fighters, particularly highlighting the successes in the Bab al-Mandab front and Taiz Governorate, among other battlefields.
The meeting discussed the readiness of executive offices and government units, especially in service sectors, to adapt to ongoing field developments. The focus was on enhancing their capacity to respond to citizens’ needs during this critical phase.
The attendees reviewed the implementation of the general mobilization decision, addressing the need to ensure market stability and the availability of food and essential goods. They emphasized the importance of strengthening field oversight, securing medicines, fuel, and gas supplies, and maintaining services such as water, electricity, education, health, and sanitation. Additionally, they discussed the urgent need to respond to humanitarian needs arising from new and anticipated waves of displacement.
The participants explored ways to bolster the internal front and support the armed forces in the national battle. They discussed enhancing security and logistical readiness, raising community awareness to counter rumors and misinformation, and maintaining social cohesion to support the armed forces’ efforts.
The meeting also included a report from the Director General of the Wadi Directorate, Saleh bin Jaradan, regarding the progress of work in executive offices, highlighting key achievements and outlining requirements and work plans for the upcoming phase.
