Marib – Saba Net
The Public Health and Population Office in Marib received the third batch of medical supplies and dialysis solutions today. This assistance comes from the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center, aimed at supporting dialysis centers in the province’s hospitals.
This shipment, weighing approximately 30 tons, specifically targets the dialysis centers at Marib General Hospital and Al-Ateer Charity Hospital in the Harib district. The delivery underscores a crucial effort to enhance healthcare services in a region facing significant challenges.
During the handover ceremony, attended by Mohammed Hendros, Deputy Chairman of Marib General Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Al-Abadi, Director General of the Public Health Office in Marib, praised Saudi Arabia’s substantial humanitarian support. He emphasized the importance of this aid for the health sector and other vital areas in Marib.
Dr. Al-Abadi pointed out that Marib faces a severe shortage of healthcare services. The province accommodates over 3 million residents, which exceeds the current capacity of the health sector. He stressed that this shortfall necessitates increased support from partners to enable the health sector to fulfill its responsibilities. This support is vital for both displaced individuals and the host community, as well as for controlling the spread of various diseases and epidemics.
This initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of the King Salman Relief Center to improve healthcare in Marib, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the medical attention they need.
