The Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Faiz Ghalab, recently led a comprehensive security meeting during his inspection visit to the ministry’s departments and units in Marib Governorate. The meeting included the Director General of Police for the governorate, Major General Yahya Hamid, along with leaders from various police and security branches.
General Ghalab emphasized that his visit aimed to implement financial, administrative, and technical inspection plans. These plans focus on ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and current decisions. Additionally, he aimed to review administrative processes, records, and detention facilities to assess operational efficiency and public service quality. The inspection also sought to compile reports on the findings.
During the meeting, General Ghalab praised the security forces in Marib for their performance across various areas, particularly in crime prevention and countering the threats posed by Houthi militias. These militias aim to disrupt security and stability in the region, and the efforts of local security forces play a crucial role in maintaining public safety.
The Inspector General received a brief report from the Director General of Police, highlighting the significant achievements of the police in Marib. The report detailed successful security operations, enhanced police presence, training programs, and technological advancements. It also covered the establishment of security zones and police departments, showcasing ongoing developments in various fields.
The report further illustrated the high level of readiness among police personnel to confront any threats to security and stability. It emphasized the collaborative spirit that has characterized the efforts of security units in Marib over the past years.
Accompanying General Ghalab on this visit was Colonel Taher Al-Haj, the Director General of Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Interior. Together, they conducted a field inspection of the command and control center of the Marib police, the Special Security Forces branch, and other key facilities. This tour aimed to evaluate operational effectiveness, military discipline, and the quality of services provided to citizens.
The inspection visit reflects the ongoing commitment of the Ministry of Interior to uphold security and stability in Marib, ensuring that law enforcement agencies are well-equipped and prepared to serve the community effectively.
