The Third Division Club League’s matches commenced at the Olympic Stadium in Seiyun, following the schedule released by the Hadhramaut Valley Football Union. The union distributed the clubs into four groups, setting the stage for an exciting season.
In the opening match, which took place last night, Al-Ittihad of Hawra and Al-Ahqaf of Al-Ghurf faced off in a thrilling encounter. The game, part of Group One, ended in a 2-2 draw. Group One includes teams such as Al-Ittihad of Seiyun, Al-Wahda of Tarim, Al-Hilal of Al-Suwairi, Al-Ahqaf of Al-Ghurf, and Al-Ittihad of Hawra. With this result, both teams earned their first point of the season.
The match was expertly officiated by a team led by referee Hamza Yahrib, with Ghazi Hassan and Abdullah Hamdoun as assistant referees, Mohamed Al-Aijm as the fourth official, Hood Badaoui overseeing the match, and Dawoud bin Mahri evaluating the referees’ performance.
The excitement continues today with two matches on the schedule. Al-Rayyan will face Shabab Al-Lask at Al-Barq Stadium in Tarim, a Group Two clash. Meanwhile, Shabab Al-Hajreen and Shabab Al-Qatn will compete at the Olympic Stadium in Seiyun, representing Group Three.
