Houthi militia intensifies military presence along the routes connecting Ibb and Dhale amid ongoing field escalation.

Houthi Militias Expand Military Presence in Ibb Province Amid Escalating Conflict

The Houthi militia has established new military checkpoints and positions in Ibb Province, strategically located along the main routes leading to Al-Dhale. This area has recently experienced a significant military escalation across several fronts.

New Military Checkpoints Established

Local sources report that the militia has created over ten military checkpoints along the roads connecting the cities and districts of Ibb and Al-Dhale. These include fortified positions equipped with combat vehicles, starting from Rabat Al-Qala in Khatab and extending through the Khnaq areas, Al-Sawada intersection, and reaching Al-Mundah station in the districts of Yarim and Al-Sadah, northeast of Ibb.

In the Al-Awd area of the Al-Nadira district, which lies close to the front lines in western Al-Dhale, the militia has set up four new checkpoints at Bayt Al-Izzani, Al-Dullal intersection, Al-Fajr, and Al-Wadi. This expansion coincides with widespread mobilization efforts, including inspections of travelers and pedestrians.

Military Reinforcements Headed to Al-Dhale

These developments align with the militia’s deployment of military reinforcements from Ibb towards Al-Dhale. Recent days have seen intensified Houthi activity on the front lines in the Al-Fakher and Hajer areas.

The Armed Forces website, September Net, reported the establishment of new checkpoints and armed vehicles west of the Qatabah district. Additionally, the militia has sent combat reinforcements from the Yarim district, comprising fighters, vehicles, and combat equipment, towards the fronts of Maris, Bab Ghalq, Al-Fakher, and Hajer.

Precision Strikes Against Government Forces

Last night, fierce clashes erupted in the Al-Fakher front, where government forces executed precise missile strikes targeting a missile and ammunition depot in Habail Al-Sama’i, west of Qatabah. They also targeted Houthi gatherings and reinforcements at Naqil Al-Khashbah, a key supply route leading to Ibb, achieving direct hits.

On Wednesday evening, joint government forces thwarted a violent Houthi attack in the Hajer and Al-Fakher fronts. This confrontation resulted in 23 Houthi fatalities, numerous injuries, and the capture of seven militants, while government forces reported four martyrs and ten wounded.

Ongoing Clashes and Failed Breach Attempts

Intermittent clashes continue to occur along the contact lines in northern and western Al-Dhale. Despite repeated Houthi attempts to achieve field breakthroughs, all efforts have failed against the readiness and resilience of government forces.

The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for further confrontations in the ongoing conflict.
