Health Minister discusses upcoming projects with Yemeni Wisdom Association.

Yemen’s Health Minister and Al-Hikma Yemeni Charity Plan Health Projects

Aden, Yemen – On Monday, in the temporary capital of Aden, Yemen’s Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Bahibh, met with a delegation from the Al-Hikma Yemeni Charity. They discussed upcoming health projects aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure across Yemen.

Strategic Health Initiatives Unveiled

The Al-Hikma team, including Aden branch Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Antari, Health Projects Director Waseem Al-Qubati, and Health Programs and Projects Coordinator Dr. Kulthum Al-Nakhibi, presented a detailed list of projects. These initiatives involve setting up eye camps in Dhale, Mahra, Hays, Mocha, and Khokha, and supporting kidney dialysis centers in Aden, Shabwa, Hadramout, Taiz, and Socotra. Additionally, they announced the deployment of two mobile units in Aden and Hadramout, a significant step towards more accessible healthcare services.

Government Support and Future Directions

Minister Bahibh praised the charity’s efforts and confirmed the ministry’s full support in overcoming any implementation challenges. He emphasized the urgent need to combat acute watery diarrhea and cholera in several provinces. Furthermore, the minister highlighted the importance of enhancing drug supplies and equipping the Swedish Hospital in Taiz with a ventilator for newborns, demonstrating the government’s commitment to addressing critical health issues.

A Collaborative Effort for a Healthier Yemen

This meeting underscores the Yemeni government’s dedication to improving healthcare services through strategic partnerships with NGOs. By addressing both immediate health crises and long-term infrastructure needs, these projects represent a hopeful step forward in Yemen’s journey towards better health outcomes.
