Geneva hosts photo exhibition documenting Houthi militia violations against women in Yemen.

In Geneva, Switzerland, at the United Nations Plaza, the Human Rights Association, in partnership with the Women’s Alliance for Peace in Yemen, organized a photographic exhibition on Saturday, showcasing the crimes and violations committed by the Houthi militias, which are supported by the Iranian regime, against Yemeni women.

The exhibition, which took place on the sidelines of the 56th session of the Human Rights Council, was titled “They Took Everything from Me.” It featured dozens of photographs documenting the crimes and violations by the Houthi militias against women in Yemen, including murder, abduction, torture in detention, and enforced disappearance.

The purpose of the exhibition was to remind the world of the daily tragedies faced by women in Yemen. This includes the establishment of a special security apparatus by the militias for raiding women’s homes, arresting them, and issuing death sentences against some of the abducted women. The militias are also attempting to destroy the status and lives of women hidden in prisons and instill fear in the hearts of every Yemeni woman who does not cooperate with them.

This event underscores the ongoing human rights crisis in Yemen, particularly the impact on women, and seeks to draw international attention to their plight.
