A violent land dispute in the Iman Province has resulted in the deaths of three individuals from the same family and left another person injured. The conflict, fueled by the Houthi militia, erupted in the town of Houth.
Local sources reported that a long-standing disagreement among members of the “Kara” family escalated into armed confrontation on the evening of the incident. The dispute centered around a piece of land, which the Houthi militia has reportedly exacerbated.
The deceased include Amin Mohsen Kara, Silan Ahmed Hadi Kara, and Nasr Abdullah Hadi Kara. In addition, Adil Hadi Kara sustained moderate injuries during the clash.
Sources indicated that the conflict had persisted for an extended period without resolution. The appointed director of the district, aligned with the Houthi militia, reportedly favored one side in the dispute. This bias contributed to the escalation of tensions, ultimately leading to violence.
The Iman Province, under Houthi control, has witnessed a significant increase in violent incidents related to land disputes. Reports indicate that Houthi leaders are often involved in these conflicts, further intensifying the situation.
This tragic incident highlights the ongoing challenges in areas governed by the Houthi militia, where land disputes frequently escalate into deadly confrontations.
