Strengthening Bilateral Relations: Yemen and Oman Forge Closer Ties

In a significant diplomatic meeting held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaea Al-Zindani, engaged in discussions with his Omani counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi. The talks focused on enhancing the bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries and addressing the latest developments in Yemen.

Deepening Cooperation for Mutual Benefit

Both ministers emphasized the deep-rooted brotherly relations that unite Yemen and Oman. They reiterated their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of their peoples. The discussions also explored ways to advance bilateral relations further.

The ministers discussed the efforts led by Oman, in coordination with Saudi Arabia, to support peace, security, and stability in Yemen. In a related discussion, Dr. Al-Zindani met with the Omani Minister of the Royal Office, Lieutenant General Sultan Al-Numani. The importance of enhancing bilateral relations in various domains was underscored during their talks.

Economic Partnerships in Agriculture and Fisheries

Dr. Al-Zindani also held talks with Oman’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi. They discussed enhancing cooperation in agriculture, fisheries, and water resource management. Both parties agreed on the importance of exchanging expertise and building sustainable economic partnerships to support food security and sustainable development in both nations.

Investment Opportunities and Economic Growth

Minister Al-Habsi highlighted the investment opportunities available in Oman, encouraging the establishment of effective partnerships between business leaders from both countries in the agricultural and fisheries sectors. These partnerships are expected to drive economic growth and development.

Diplomatic Delegation

The meetings were attended by Yemen’s Ambassador to Oman, Dr. Khaled bin Shateef, the Head of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdulqader Hadi, and the Minister’s Special Secretary, Advisor Salem Baafi.
