Governor Discusses Formation of Monitoring Committees
Today, the Governor of Socotra Archipelago, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, met with Ali Badahan, Deputy Director of the Industry and Trade Office, and Lieutenant Ali Ahmed, Deputy Director of Hadi Bou Police. They discussed the formation of community committees in Hadi Bou and Qalansiyah to oversee food price monitoring.
Committee Responsibilities and Structure
The three community committees in Hadi Bou—October 14, September 26, and November 30—along with the Qalansiyah committee, will be responsible for reporting price violations to the relevant authorities. This structure aims to ensure accountability and legal action against offenders.
These committees will directly report to the general directors of both districts and the police directors to enhance oversight and effectiveness.

Governor Al-Thaqali emphasized that this initiative aims to strengthen market oversight and protect consumers. He urged the appointed committees to perform their duties with dedication and integrity to serve the community effectively.
