Defense Minister’s Visit to the Administrative Base

Today, Defense Minister Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqeeli conducted a visit to the administrative base in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital. The minister’s primary objectives during this visit were to assess operational performance, discipline, and overall military readiness. This visit reflects the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to bolstering the capabilities of the armed forces and ensuring that adequate logistical support is available across various combat fronts.

Performance Evaluation and Logistical Efforts

During his visit, Minister Al-Aqeeli received a comprehensive briefing from Brigadier General Ali Al-Kod, the Director of Supply and Logistics. General Al-Kod provided insights into the base’s critical roles and the ongoing efforts of its personnel to secure logistical needs effectively. The minister commended the significant efforts and high level of discipline exhibited by the troops, which he noted as indicative of their responsibility and readiness for duty.

Field Tour of Warehouses and Workshops

As part of the visit, Minister Al-Aqeeli undertook a field tour of the base’s warehouses and workshops. He closely observed the organization and preparation levels at the military uniform sewing workshop and underscored the importance of enhancing production quality. This improvement is essential to meeting the military’s requirements for suitable equipment and clothing.

Inspection of Al-Bashee Military Hospital

In addition to the administrative base, the Defense Minister inspected Al-Bashee Military Hospital, where he reviewed the medical services provided to injured and ill military personnel. He engaged with the medical services administration, which presented an overview of the hospital’s key achievements, current needs, and challenges facing the institution.

Commendation for Humanitarian Efforts

Lieutenant General Al-Aqeeli expressed his commendation for the humanitarian and professional efforts of the hospital’s management and medical staff. He praised their unwavering dedication to providing healthcare services for both military and civilian patients. Furthermore, he emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts to enhance medical services, honoring the sacrifices made by those defending the nation.

This visit serves to reinforce the Ministry of Defense’s ongoing commitment to improving the operational capabilities of the armed forces and ensuring comprehensive healthcare for its personnel.
