In a significant operation, customs officials, in collaboration with security forces, successfully seized 800 drone propellers at the Sarfit Customs Port in Al-Mahra Governorate. These propellers, manufactured by GEFMAN, boast a powerful output of approximately 1050 watts and feature a three-blade design made from fiberglass and carbon fiber.
Ahmed Bakrit, the Director General of Sarfit Customs, emphasized the importance of this operation in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba). He noted that the seizure aligns with customs laws and relevant regulations, reflecting the government’s commitment and the directives of the Supreme Committee for Combating Smuggling.
Bakrit reiterated the dedication of Sarfit Customs officials and security personnel to continue their efforts in combating smuggling. They remain vigilant in their responsibilities to intercept any prohibited goods that pose a threat to national, regional, and international security.
Furthermore, Bakrit acknowledged the significant support from the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority. Their ongoing assistance and training initiatives have contributed to numerous successes, particularly in the fight against smuggling. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of maintaining robust customs operations to safeguard the nation.
