Council member Tariq Saleh launches the “Eid Clothing” project to support the community during the festive season.

Launch of "Eid Clothing" Project in the Western Coast

On Thursday, Tareq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, officially launched the “Eid Clothing” project in the Western Coast region. This initiative, executed by the Humanitarian Action Cell with support from the Emirates Red Crescent, aims to provide festive clothing for approximately 35,000 families, particularly those from impoverished and displaced backgrounds.

Support for Families of Fallen Heroes

During the inauguration ceremony, Tareq Saleh announced a significant directive. He instructed the National Resistance to allocate a bonus equivalent to half a monthly salary for the families of martyrs from the “Guardians of the Republic” and the “Tihama Brigades.” This support extends to the “Zaraneeq” Brigade and the 7th and 9th Giants Brigades, ensuring that these families receive the assistance they deserve.

Food Aid for Educators

In addition to the clothing initiative, Tareq Saleh issued further directives to the Humanitarian Action Cell. He called for the distribution of 25,000 food baskets to teachers in the Taiz and Hodeidah governorates. This aid will benefit both official educators and volunteers, highlighting the commitment to support those who contribute to the education sector.

Attendance and Community Engagement

The launch event saw the participation of key figures, including Walid Al-Qudaimi, the First Undersecretary of Hodeidah Governorate, along with directors from the liberated districts in the Western Coast of Hodeidah and Taiz governorates. Their presence underscored the community’s collective effort to uplift vulnerable populations during the festive season.

This initiative not only aims to provide essential support to families in need but also fosters a sense of community and solidarity among the residents of the Western Coast.
