Tarik Saleh Inspects Vital Coastal Road Rehabilitation Project

Progress on the Western Coast Road Project

Today, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, inspected the ongoing work on the second phase of the vital coastal road rehabilitation project. This project connects the cities of Al-Mokha and Bab al-Mandab, enhancing transportation and economic development in the region.

Project Overview and Support

The project spans 67 kilometers and receives significant support from the United Arab Emirates. This initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure in liberated areas of Yemen. Saleh emphasized the importance of this project in facilitating transportation and boosting economic growth.

Achievements and Future Goals

During his visit, Saleh reviewed the progress of engineering and technical work. He praised the accomplishments achieved thus far, highlighting the project’s strategic importance. The rehabilitation of the road will enhance connectivity between coastal areas and cities, ultimately improving citizens’ lives and stimulating trade.

Call for Quality and Efficiency

Saleh urged the three contracting companies involved in the project to expedite their work while adhering to the highest quality standards and specifications. He reiterated his gratitude to the UAE for its ongoing support of developmental projects in Yemen.

Community Engagement and Support

In addition to his inspection, Saleh visited the Bab al-Mandab district to check on the residents’ well-being. He congratulated them on the upcoming month of Ramadan and assessed the ongoing expansion work at the rural hospital in Bab al-Mandab. This expansion aims to enhance medical services for the local population.

Final Inspection and Future Plans

Saleh concluded his visit by inspecting the damage to the government complex building, preparing for its upcoming restoration. This effort reflects the commitment to rebuilding and improving public facilities in the region.

Through these initiatives, the Presidential Leadership Council aims to foster development and improve the quality of life for the people of Yemen.
