In a significant event, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, recognized the achievements of 300 Quran memorizers from the western coastal districts of Al-Hudaydah and Taiz. This ceremony took place in the city of Al-Mokha and highlighted the importance of Quranic education in the region.
The event, organized by the Humanitarian Action Cell under the supervision of Minister of Awqaf and Guidance Dr. Muhammad bin Aida Shabiba, celebrated the dedication of these memorizers. During the ceremony, Saleh praised the efforts of those involved in the Quran memorization courses along the western coast. He reiterated his ongoing support for these programs throughout the year and urged relevant authorities to intensify their efforts.
Saleh emphasized that promoting Quran memorization aligns with the sacred national struggle against the Houthi militia. He pointed out that this Iranian-backed group primarily targets the true teachings of Islam with its misguided ideology. By supporting Quranic education, the community strengthens its cultural and religious identity in the face of adversity.
The ceremony attracted notable figures, including Walid Al-Qudaimi, the First Deputy Governor of Al-Hudaydah, and Rashad Al-Akhali, the Deputy Governor of Taiz for Coastal Districts. Local directors from the western coastal districts, officials from the Ministry of Awqaf, and numerous citizens and families of the honored memorizers also attended the event.
This celebration not only recognized individual achievements but also reinforced the community’s commitment to preserving its religious heritage amidst ongoing challenges.
