Meeting to Discuss Educational Resumption in Yemen

Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrimi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with the Minister of Education, Tarek Al-Akbari. The primary focus of their discussion was to explore ways to end the ongoing strike and resume educational activities, while ensuring the rights and demands of teachers across liberated provinces.

Proposals for Educational Continuity

During the meeting, both officials reviewed several proposals aimed at restarting the educational process. Al-Mahrimi emphasized the importance of developing a sustainable strategy in coordination with the government and local authorities. This strategy should not only secure teachers’ rights but also enhance their working conditions. Furthermore, it must ensure the continuity of education, safeguarding the future of generations and strengthening community resilience against ignorance and extremism.

Preparations for the Upcoming Academic Year

The meeting also addressed the current status of the Ministry of Education and the preparations underway for the new academic year, set to begin in August. These arrangements will cover all educational stages in Aden and other liberated provinces.

The Importance of Resuming Education

In conclusion, Al-Mahrimi reiterated that education serves as the cornerstone for nation-building and awareness development. He stressed that resuming classes is a fundamental right for students.
