Today, significant progress was made in the asphalt paving and rehabilitation of a section of the old square at Shahn Customs in Al-Mahra Governorate. The project covered an area of approximately 5,000 square meters, utilizing two layers of asphalt. This initiative included both earthworks and asphalt application, as well as the restoration of excavations in the old square.
In addition, the new square received asphalt paving over an area of nearly 8,000 square meters, also featuring two layers of asphalt in accordance with approved technical specifications. This work forms part of a comprehensive project aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of the Shahn Customs facility.
The project received joint funding from the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Authority, and the local authority of Al-Mahra Governorate. The implementation was carried out by the company Muqbil Mubarak and Brothers, which specializes in trade, oil field services, and general contracting.
Thabet Awad, the Director General of Shahn Customs, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, the Governor of Al-Mahra, and the Head of the Customs Authority for their cooperation and support in executing this vital project.
