Violent clashes erupted today between the Armed Forces in the Taiz axis and the Iranian-backed Houthi militias across several sites and fronts. The militias suffered significant losses in both personnel and equipment.
Military sources informed the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the confrontations concentrated around the air defense site west of Taiz city. Simultaneously, fighting occurred in various locations within the Jabal Habashi district, resulting in the defeat of Houthi elements and their retreat from the engagement sites.
In the meantime, Armed Forces fighter jets conducted airstrikes targeting Houthi reinforcements, vehicles, and armored units along the Sixty Street north of Taiz city. The aircraft continued to patrol the skies over the province, striking Houthi movements. Focused airstrikes targeted Houthi positions, barracks, and equipment across several battlefronts, including Al-Rubai, Haifan, Al-Kadha, Al-Mokha, and Al-Ahkum.
In response to the clashes, Houthi militias simultaneously shelled the Al-Qasr crossing and residential neighborhoods east of Taiz city using various types of heavy and medium weapons.
