On Saturday evening, armed clashes broke out between members of the Houthi militia and the tribes of Dhuh Hussein in the Al-Yitmah area of the Khabb and Al-Shaf district in Al-Jawf province. This violence followed the shooting death of a tribal member by a Houthi checkpoint, according to local sources.
Sources reported that the confrontations began immediately after the shooting incident. The region experienced heightened tension and widespread mobilization, reflecting a growing tribal anger towards the militia’s repeated violations against local residents.
These clashes occurred less than 24 hours after three members of the Al-Ja’id tribe were killed by Houthi gunfire in the same district. This incident sparked widespread public outrage and highlighted the militia’s ongoing strategy of inciting tribal conflicts and exerting control through force.
The situation in Al-Jawf remains volatile as tribal communities continue to respond to the Houthi militia’s actions. The recent violence underscores the urgent need for dialogue and resolution to prevent further escalation in the region.
