Al-Masrak, Yemen – Today, Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Makhlafi, the First Deputy Governor of Taiz, officially inaugurated the new Civil Status Branch in Al-Masrak District. The opening ceremony was attended by Major General Mansour Al-Akhali, the Director General of Taiz Police, marking a significant milestone for local civil services. This new facility is designed to enhance support for residents and alleviate the pressure on existing centers that have been struggling to meet the community’s needs.

Enhancing Services and Accessibility

During the inauguration, Dr. Al-Makhlafi emphasized the branch’s role in improving civil services in the region. He reiterated the local authority’s commitment to initiatives that enhance essential services for citizens. Accessibility is a primary concern, as the new branch aims to provide residents with easier access to necessary documentation and official transactions.

Significance for the Local Institutional Framework

Faris Al-Maliki, the Director General of the district, remarked on the substantial value this branch adds to the institutional framework of Al-Masrak. The establishment of the new center will facilitate official transactions and significantly reduce the need for citizens to travel to the governorate center for civil services, thereby streamlining processes.

Ongoing Commitment to Community Development

In addition to the opening ceremony, Dr. Al-Makhlafi led an executive meeting in the district, attended by Major General Abdulkarim Al-Sabri, the Deputy Governor for Defense and Security. The meeting focused on reviewing administrative performance, recent achievements in education and health, financial resource collection, security conditions, and the challenges currently faced by the district.

Dr. Al-Makhlafi reaffirmed the local authority’s dedication to addressing the needs of the community. He called for increased collaboration with both international and local organizations, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing basic services to enhance the quality of life for residents. Furthermore, he commended the community’s efforts in supporting local authorities against the Houthi militia in recent times.
