Yemeni and French Officials Discuss National and Regional Developments

In a significant diplomatic meeting held today, Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bahsni, a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, engaged in talks with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Colonna, to discuss the evolving situation both nationally and regionally. The meeting underscored the critical role that the international and regional communities must play in bolstering stability in Yemen.

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

The discussions highlighted the avenues for enhancing mutual cooperation between Yemen and France, with a particular focus on humanitarian aid efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people amidst the current challenges. The ongoing Houthi escalation and terrorist activities targeting Yemeni civilians were reviewed, with Al-Bahsni emphasizing the importance of regional and international support for the Presidential Leadership Council in facing these challenges. He advocated for increased pressure on the Houthi militias to cease their repeated aggressions.

The Role of France in Supporting Yemen
