National Army Thwarts Houthi Infiltration Attempts in Taiz
Multiple Attempts Foiled in a 24-Hour Period
The National Army announced significant progress in thwarting Houthi infiltration attempts in Taiz Governorate over the past 24 hours. According to separate statements from the Taiz Military Axis, army forces successfully repelled three infiltration attempts by the Houthi militia on Tuesday, covering both morning and evening periods.
Details of the Infiltration Attempts
Late Tuesday evening, the Taiz Military Axis confirmed that its forces intercepted a Houthi infiltration attempt aimed at their positions in the Al-Anin front, located in the Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz city. This announcement followed a similar success in the Al-Asifrah front, situated north of the city.
Earlier that morning, the military also reported thwarting an infiltration attempt in the Al-Dabab front, west of the city. During this engagement, army forces injured one of the infiltrators while defending their positions.
Context of Ongoing Conflicts
These infiltration attempts are part of the ongoing assaults launched by the Houthi militia against military sites and civilian neighborhoods in the governorate. The area has faced a blockade from the militia for the past decade, intensifying the conflict and humanitarian challenges for local residents.
The National Army remains vigilant as it continues to protect its territory and the civilian population from the persistent threats posed by the Houthi militia.
