Al-Hilal Dominates Al-Khaleej with a 5-1 Victory in Saudi Pro League

On Friday, Al-Hilal secured a commanding 5-1 victory against Al-Khaleej in the fourth round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League. The match took place at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium, attracting an impressive crowd of 12,083 fans despite high humidity levels that affected the game’s atmosphere.

First Half Goals Set the Tone

All six goals occurred in the first half, showcasing an explosive start to the match. Ivorian striker Qader Miti opened the scoring for Al-Hilal in the 15th minute. Serbian midfielder Sergej Savic doubled the lead in the 29th minute. Al-Khaleej managed to narrow the gap when Saleh Al-Amri scored in the 38th minute. However, Al-Hilal quickly responded with a third goal from French player Theo Hernandez just two minutes later, in the 40th minute.

Dutch forward Cresencio Summerville added a fourth goal in the 43rd minute, following an impressive individual effort. Sultan Mandash capped off the first-half scoring in the second minute of stoppage time, taking advantage of a counterattack and a clear chance on goal.

Tactical Adjustments in the Second Half

In the second half, Al-Hilal’s Italian coach Simone Inzaghi opted for tactical substitutions after securing the lead. He introduced Nasser Al-Dosari and Muteb Al-Harbi, followed by Yusuf Akcicek, Murad Hossawi, and Nawaf Al-Habsi. Notably, star player Karim Benzema missed the match due to injury.

League Standings and Upcoming Matches

With this victory, Al-Hilal increased its points tally to 9, placing them in second position in the league. Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej remains at 3 points, sitting in 13th place. Al-Hilal will face Al-Ahli in a postponed match on Tuesday, September 1, while Al-Khaleej will meet Neom on Thursday, September 3.
