Military Consultation Meeting Held in Aden

A military consultation meeting took place today, Tuesday, at the Ministry of Defense in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen. The meeting, led by Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Basr Salem, Deputy Chief of General Staff, focused on implementing directives from the political leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Key Discussions on Military Organization

The meeting included representatives from joint operations bodies, military formations, and officials from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. Additionally, the military delegation from the Joint Forces supporting legitimacy, headed by Major General Falah Al-Shahrani, an advisor to the Joint Forces Commander, participated in the discussions.

Participants addressed the need to organize and unify military formations into a cohesive national army. This unified force will operate under a single command and a joint operations room, which aims to enhance security, stability, and public order across the nation.

Commitment to Institutional Work and Military Discipline

During the meeting, the Deputy Chief of General Staff emphasized the political and military leadership’s strong commitment to this initiative. He described it as a pivotal step in building a unified national military institution. He stressed the importance of adhering to institutional work and military discipline, urging all involved to operate under the Ministry of Defense and the leadership of the General Staff.

This meeting marks a significant effort to strengthen Yemen’s military structure, aiming to foster a more secure and stable environment for all citizens.
