On Wednesday, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrimi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Yuichi Nakashima, the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, in the temporary capital of Aden. The two officials discussed several issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Yemen and Japan across various sectors.
During the meeting, Al-Mahrimi emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and consultation between the two nations in international forums. He noted that such collaboration serves their shared interests and contributes to achieving security and stability in the region.
Al-Mahrimi praised the ongoing support provided by the Japanese government to Yemen in developmental and humanitarian areas. He stressed the necessity of bolstering this cooperation to benefit both nations’ populations.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council also reviewed the latest developments in Yemen, highlighting the efforts underway to establish peace and end the ongoing conflict.
In response, Ambassador Nakashima reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting Yemen during this critical phase. He underscored Japan’s dedication to continuing humanitarian and developmental assistance, as well as contributing to peace and stability efforts in Yemen. The ambassador expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council to enhance security and improve living conditions for citizens.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering stronger ties between Yemen and Japan, focusing on mutual benefits and regional stability.
