A meeting chaired by Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan took place today to discuss measures aimed at resolving the ongoing gas crisis. The gathering focused on the issues surrounding the detention of gas tankers and the legal actions necessary against violators. The primary goal is to ensure a steady supply of gas for residents.
During the meeting, which included key figures such as Taiz Military Axis Commander Major General Khaled Fadel and Chief of Staff Major General Abdul Aziz Al-Majidi, Governor Shamsan emphasized the need for strict actions against those who create crises and exploit citizens’ needs. He asserted that personal interests would not justify adding further burdens on the public.
Governor Shamsan revealed that he had contacted the Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company and its Taiz branch to discuss existing problems and find sustainable solutions. He stressed the importance of taking legal measures against violators and working to supply the province with additional gas quantities to stabilize the market.
Engineer Bilal Al-Qumairi, the Director of the Gas Company branch in Taiz, presented a comprehensive report on the gas supply situation. He outlined the challenges that led to the detention of several tankers outside the province. Al-Qumairi noted that coordination with the union and agents is underway to overcome the fabricated crisis and ensure the continued distribution of gas to stations and agents.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to address the gas supply issues effectively. Attendees included Abdul Rahman Al-Qala’a, the Director of the Industry and Trade Office in the province, highlighting the collaborative effort to resolve the crisis and support the citizens of Taiz.
