A significant meeting took place today in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, led by Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf. The discussion focused on organizing the transportation of diesel and mazut fuel from PetroMasila in Hadramout to power stations in liberated provinces.
The meeting included the supervisory and monitoring committee responsible for overseeing fuel supplies to generation stations, along with various stakeholders. Participants reviewed the committee’s operations and the procedures for tracking fuel tanker movements and their distribution to power stations. They also addressed several challenges affecting the transportation process and explored solutions to ensure a smooth supply of fuel to generation sites.
Minister Al-Kaf stressed the importance of maintaining discipline in reporting fuel movement data. He highlighted that accurate reporting contributes to transparency and effective monitoring. Furthermore, he underscored the need for adherence to the committee’s operational procedures to support the stable operation of power stations.
The minister also emphasized the necessity of applying governance and oversight principles throughout the fuel transport and distribution process. He noted that these principles play a crucial role in ensuring optimal use of supplies and meeting the needs of power generation facilities.
This meeting marks a proactive step towards enhancing the efficiency of fuel supply chains, ultimately supporting the stability of electricity services in the region.
