Massive Solidarity Rally in Marib Condemns Ongoing Israeli Genocide in Gaza

On Friday, a large crowd gathered in Marib to express their outrage over the ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza, which has now persisted for 392 consecutive days. Participants from various mosques in the city convened following Friday prayers to voice their strong condemnation of what they described as a campaign of genocide by Israeli forces.

Participants Denounce Israeli Aggression

The demonstrators highlighted the brutal nature of the Israeli military actions, which they claimed target civilians indiscriminately. They condemned the destruction of hospitals and other civilian infrastructure in Gaza. Their statements reflected deep concern over the escalation of violence, particularly the ethnic cleansing campaigns affecting vulnerable populations, including children, women, and the elderly across all regions of Gaza, with a specific focus on the northern areas.

Resilience of the Palestinian People

Protesters praised the resilience of the Palestinian people in northern Gaza, who continue to endure relentless attacks from Israeli forces by land, sea, and air. They noted the targeting of refugee camps, including Jabalia and Beit Lahia, where the Israeli military has committed severe atrocities against displaced populations. The protesters emphasized that these acts of violence have systematically destroyed the basic necessities of life for the residents over the past month.

Call for International Action

The rally’s statement urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations to protect civilians in Gaza. It called for urgent intervention to halt the ongoing bloodshed that has plagued the region for over a year. The participants expressed frustration over the international silence and perceived global indifference to the humanitarian crisis.

A Unified Call for Solidarity

The statement also appealed to free nations worldwide to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. It urged citizens to pressure their governments to intervene and compel Israel to cease its ongoing genocide in Gaza. Furthermore, the protesters demanded accountability for Israeli leaders regarding their actions against civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and all occupied Palestinian territories.

This rally in Marib underscores the growing international concern regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the urgent need for global action to address the ongoing conflict.
