Prime Minister Holds Meeting in Aden to Discuss Developments of “Fajr Yemen” Operation

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Dr. Sha’ib Mohsen Al-Zandani convened a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden with the Ministers of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Expatriate Affairs. The discussion focused on the latest updates regarding the “Fajr Yemen” operation and the responsibilities this phase imposes on state institutions and agencies.

Government Coordination with Saudi Authorities

The meeting reviewed the necessary governmental procedures and arrangements in coordination with relevant Saudi authorities. This coordination aims to implement the directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which focus on rectifying the status of Yemenis residing in the Kingdom through irregular means.

Emphasis on Swift Action for Yemeni Citizens

Dr. Al-Zandani stressed the importance of expediting the required actions by the government. He highlighted the need to facilitate Yemeni citizens’ benefit from this decision, following the mechanisms approved by Saudi counterparts. He noted that this generous initiative will have a direct impact on the lives of many Yemeni families.

Security and Political Readiness

The Prime Minister listened to briefings from Minister of Interior Major General Ibrahim Haidan and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Afrah Al-Zuba. Each minister provided updates on the measures taken within their respective areas of responsibility, as well as the level of security and political readiness to respond to ongoing developments on the ground.

Directives for Enhanced Security Measures

Dr. Al-Zandani directed the Ministry of Interior to enhance security readiness and protect vital facilities and installations. He also instructed the ministry to prepare security arrangements for areas returning to state authority.

Political and Diplomatic Mobilization

Additionally, the Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intensify political and diplomatic efforts. These efforts should aim to explain the objectives of the “Fajr Yemen” operation and garner international support for its goals, including the protection of international navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
