Minister of Public Works Discusses Cooperation with Saudi Program
Minister of Public Works and Roads Engineer Hussein Al-Aqrabi met today with Assistant Supervisor General of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen Engineer Hassan Al-Attas. They explored ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of roads and infrastructure, as well as monitoring vital projects currently underway in several governorates.
Key Infrastructure Projects Under Review
The two officials discussed the completion of the maritime road project in the city of Aden and the expansion and rehabilitation of the Al-Abr – Sayoun road. These projects hold significant importance in improving the road network, facilitating vehicle movement, and enhancing connectivity between governorates.
Appreciation for Saudi Support
Minister Al-Aqrabi expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both government and people, for their generous support to Yemen through the Saudi program. He praised the strategic projects being implemented across various developmental fields and their direct impact on improving citizens’ lives.
Highlighting Major Road Projects
Al-Aqrabi acknowledged the Saudi support that contributed to the execution of pivotal projects in the road sector. Notably, he mentioned the Al-Haijjah Al-Abd road project, which has reached its final stage and connects Taiz Governorate with liberated areas. He also referenced international road projects in Hadramout, Marib, and the Al-Abr region.
