Yemen’s Coast Guard warns against swimming and maritime travel during the summer season due to safety concerns.

Yemen’s Coast Guard Issues Summer Safety Warning

The Yemen Coast Guard has issued an official warning urging citizens to avoid swimming, approaching beaches, or traveling by sea during the months of June, July, and August. This advisory specifically targets areas in the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, and the Red Sea.

Dangerous Sea Conditions Expected

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Coast Guard explained that this period typically experiences severe disturbances at sea. High wave levels and strong tidal forces, combined with rising temperatures, pose significant risks to public safety. These conditions increase the likelihood of drowning incidents, both on the shore and in open waters.

A Call for Caution

The statement emphasized the importance of not risking lives, whether for oneself or for loved ones. Citizens must adhere strictly to the guidelines and instructions issued by relevant authorities. The Coast Guard highlighted that safety is a shared responsibility and a national duty.

The Value of Life

In its message, the Coast Guard reiterated that life is invaluable and not worth jeopardizing for any adventure that could endanger a loved one. They strongly advised the public to avoid potential hazards during the summer months.

By following these guidelines, citizens can help ensure their safety and the safety of others during this challenging season.
