Chief of General Staff Witnesses Graduation of Skills Course at the Air and Air Defense College in Marib

Marib, Yemen

The Chief of General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, attended the graduation ceremony of the third batch of the Skills Course at the Air and Air Defense College in Marib today.

During the event, the graduates demonstrated their shooting project, showcasing the high level of skills and training they have acquired through scientific and practical training programs.

Lieutenant General bin Aziz expressed his pride in the efficiency and discipline of the graduates and students from various regions and governorates of the Yemeni Republic. He highlighted their representation of hope for the nation and the best of the country’s youth, who will be the faithful guardians of Yemen’s stability, constitution, republican system, and the enduring values of its September and October revolutions. He conveyed greetings from the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, his council colleagues, and the Minister of Defense to the college leadership and all its affiliates.

The Chief of Staff commended the efforts of the college’s administration, senior instructors, and the educational and administrative staff in training and qualification aspects. He praised the updates to programs and curricula to meet the current phase’s requirements and the needs of the national and Arab battle fought by the heroes of the armed forces, security, and resistance to restore the state and ensure a just peace that preserves the Yemeni people’s freedom, dignity, and Arab identity. He urged the implementation of plans, renewal of determination, patience, and doubling efforts in performing the great tasks and duties entrusted to them.

Lieutenant General bin Aziz emphasized that the battle to build the nation’s defense institution is as crucial as the combat battle against the Houthi militia and its terrorist affiliates. He pointed out the significant role of the Air and Air Defense College in developing a strong generation of leaders and personnel equipped with competence, knowledge, professionalism, and discipline. This contributes effectively to the advancement, development, and modernization of the Yemeni armed forces based on scientific principles and a correct national doctrine.

The college’s director, Major General Ahmed Saleh Al-Bahsh, expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff’s leadership to the Air and Air Defense College. He affirmed that the college’s leadership and all its cadres and affiliates would continue to fulfill their duties with complete dedication and determination.
