Strengthening Ties in Resource Management
Dr. Jalal Faqira, Yemen’s Ambassador to Jordan, recently met with Sami Al-Halasa, the Director General of the Jordanian National Resources Investment and Development Corporation. The two officials explored ways to enhance cooperation and share expertise in managing and developing national resources.
Learning from Jordan’s Successful Projects
During their discussion, they examined the potential benefits of leveraging Jordan’s successful experiences in resource management. They specifically highlighted the Abdul-Latif Project in Amman and the King Abdullah II Project in Zarqa. The aim is to adapt these successful models to Yemen’s context, fostering innovative programs and projects.
Drafting a Memorandum of Understanding
The meeting also touched on the possibility of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement would focus on capacity building and strengthening collaboration between Yemen and Jordan. Both parties expressed optimism about the potential for joint initiatives that could significantly benefit resource management in Yemen.
This dialogue marks a significant step toward enhancing bilateral relations between Yemen and Jordan in the field of resource management. By sharing knowledge and experiences, both nations can work together to implement effective strategies for sustainable development.
