On Saturday, Dr. Shaya Mohsen Al-Zandani, the Yemeni Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrived in Cairo, Egypt. His visit signifies the participation in the ninth round of the Yemeni-Egyptian strategic dialogue, which is co-chaired by the foreign ministers of both nations.

Warm Welcome at Cairo International Airport

Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, Dr. Al-Zandani received a warm welcome from Ihab Fahmy, the Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, alongside several members of the Yemeni diplomatic mission in Egypt. This reception reflects the cordiality and historical ties between the two nations.

Strengthening Historical Ties and Addressing Regional Challenges

In a statement to the media following his arrival, Dr. Al-Zandani underscored the strategic and historical significance of the brotherly relations between Yemen and Egypt. He remarked that the ongoing strategic dialogue is indicative of the commitment from both countries’ political leaderships, represented by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and President Rashad Mohammed Alimi of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen.

Dr. Al-Zandani emphasized the importance of this dialogue session, particularly in light of the pressing issues on the agenda and the current geopolitical challenges facing the region. He highlighted that enhancing cooperation to safeguard international navigation security in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Bab el-Mandeb is a top priority. Earlier on the same day, Dr. Al-Zandani departed from Aden International Airport en route to Cairo to engage in the ninth round of the Yemeni-Egyptian strategic dialogue.
