On Tuesday, the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah, Yemeni pilgrims gathered at the sacred plains of Arafat, joining thousands of fellow Muslims in performing one of the most significant rituals of Hajj. The pilgrims will remain at Arafat until sunset, after which they will proceed to Muzdalifah to spend the night. On this significant day, they will partake in the symbolic stoning of the Jamrat al-Aqaba and offer their sacrifices before heading to Mecca for the Tawaf al-Ifadah.
