Yemeni Pilgrims Unite at Arafat for the Sacred Ritual of Hajj

On Tuesday, the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah, Yemeni pilgrims gathered at the sacred plains of Arafat, joining thousands of fellow Muslims in performing one of the most significant rituals of Hajj. The atmosphere was filled with spirituality and a profound sense of tranquility as pilgrims dedicated their day to prayer and reflection.

A Day of Prayer and Reflection

From the early hours of the morning, the pilgrims engaged in heartfelt prayers, fervently seeking forgiveness, mercy, and blessings from Allah. Following the Day of Arafah sermon delivered at Namira Mosque, they participated in the combined and shortened prayers of Dhuhr and Asr. To ensure a smooth experience, the Yemeni delegation organized designated prayer locations to prevent overcrowding, while also adhering to the guidelines set forth by Saudi authorities to minimize direct exposure to the sun.

Continuing the Journey

The pilgrims will remain at Arafat until sunset, after which they will proceed to Muzdalifah to spend the night. This is in preparation for the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is celebrated as Eid al-Adha. On this significant day, they will partake in the symbolic stoning of the Jamrat al-Aqaba and offer their sacrifices before heading to Mecca for the Tawaf al-Ifadah.

Conclusion

The gathering at Arafat represents a pivotal moment in the Hajj pilgrimage, highlighting the themes of unity and devotion among Muslims worldwide. As Yemeni pilgrims fulfill this sacred duty, they embody the spirit of faith and community that defines this holy journey.
