Muscat, Oman – Dr. Shaia Mohsen Al-Zandani, Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, arrived in Muscat on Tuesday evening. During his visit, he will engage with several Omani officials to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.
Upon his arrival at Muscat International Airport, Dr. Al-Zandani was warmly received by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al-Maskari, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighboring Countries Department, along with Ambassador Najib bin Yahya Al-Balushi and Dr. Khaled Shateef, Yemen’s Ambassador to Oman.
Dr. Al-Zandani emphasized the deep-rooted and brotherly ties between Yemen and Oman. He highlighted that the two countries share a strong foundation of historical and fraternal bonds. The minister underscored the significance of this visit, which reflects the mutual commitment of both nations to explore and enhance their relations across various levels.
The Yemeni Foreign Minister praised Oman’s mediation efforts, coordinated with Saudi Arabia, aimed at achieving peace and stability in Yemen. He expressed appreciation for the ongoing diplomatic initiatives that seek to resolve regional conflicts and foster harmony.
Accompanying Dr. Al-Zandani on this diplomatic mission are Ambassador Abdulqader Mohammed Hadi, Head of the Minister’s Office, and Special Secretary Advisor Salem Baafi.
