The Republic of Yemen participated today in the fourth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 1446H, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah organized the event in coordination with the Guests of God Service Program. Yemen’s delegation was led by Dr. Muhammad Shabeeb, the Minister of Awqaf and Guidance.
Running from January 13 to 16, the conference features participation from over 100 countries and 280 exhibitors. It aims to discuss the enhancement of Hajj services through 75 dialogue sessions. Key topics include sustainability, artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and promoting innovation within the Hajj sector. Major international and local companies, as well as Hajj affairs offices, are participating in these discussions.
Dr. Muhammad Shabeeb emphasized that Yemen’s participation aims to strengthen cooperation and explore the services available to pilgrims. This includes accommodation in Mecca and Medina, transportation, catering, and services provided at the holy sites. He highlighted the importance of the conference as a platform for exchanging expertise among academics, researchers, and specialized entities to improve the quality of services offered to pilgrims.
The conference presents a valuable opportunity to adopt innovative solutions that will enhance the efficiency of various sectors involved in serving pilgrims. It focuses on developing infrastructure and services to ensure a distinguished experience for the Guests of God.
Dr. Mukhtar bin Al-Khader Al-Rabash, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance for Hajj and Umrah, also participated in the conference.
