Yemen Participates in 11th China-Arab Businessmen Conference

Today, Yemen took part in the 11th China-Arab Businessmen Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar under the China-Arab Cooperation Forum. The event took place in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, and was led by Rashid Hazeb, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade for Business Services.

Objectives of the Conference

This year’s conference attracted over 1,000 representatives from political and business circles, both local and international. The theme, “Building Five Cooperation Frameworks to Accelerate the Construction of a China-Arab Community with a Shared Future,” emphasizes the importance of enhancing collaboration between Chinese and Arab entrepreneurs. The conference aims to foster active participation in the “Belt and Road Initiative” and promote a shared destiny between China and Arab nations.

Key Initiatives Launched

Participants introduced several initiatives designed to encourage communication and cooperation between business leaders from both sides. These initiatives include:

  • Strategic Integration: Strengthening collaboration among companies.
  • Energy Transition: Accelerating shifts in energy sectors.
  • Green Development: Promoting sustainable practices and innovation.
  • Business Environment: Improving and expanding the business climate.
  • Innovative Financing: Creating new funding mechanisms to support the real economy.
  • Industrial Integration: Enhancing industrial cooperation and production capabilities.

Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security

The conference also launched an initiative to deepen agricultural cooperation aimed at bolstering food security. This initiative focuses on supporting the private sector and small to medium-sized enterprises. It encourages exchanges and collaboration between Hainan and Arab countries, further enhancing China-Arab cooperation in trade and legal services.

Future Conferences Planned

Participants agreed to hold the 12th Arab-China Businessmen Conference and the 10th Investment Seminar in 2027 in an Arab country. This decision reflects a commitment to ongoing collaboration and partnership between the two regions.

In conclusion, Yemen’s participation in this significant event underscores its dedication to fostering international business relationships and enhancing economic cooperation with China and other Arab nations.
