Yemen Condemns Israeli Prime Minister’s Illegal Entry into Mount Sheikh

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen has strongly condemned the illegal entry of the Israeli Prime Minister into the Mount Sheikh area in the sisterly Arab Republic of Syria. The ministry described this act as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, characterizing it as a provocative escalation that threatens security and stability in the region.

Yemen’s Firm Stance Against Aggressive Practices

In its statement, the ministry expressed Yemen’s firm rejection of the aggressive practices carried out by the occupying forces and the ongoing violations of Syrian territory. It highlighted that the continued occupation of parts of Syrian land, along with military movements and unilateral actions, constitutes a clear breach of international law and international legitimacy resolutions. Furthermore, it noted that these actions disrupt the commitments outlined in the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Support for Syria’s Sovereignty and Independence

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Yemen’s steadfast position in support of the sisterly Arab Republic of Syria.
