The Republic of Yemen has strongly condemned the recent Iranian aggression targeting the sisterly State of Qatar. This attack represents a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as a clear infringement of international law, the United Nations Charter, and principles of good neighborliness.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the seriousness of this escalation. The ministry emphasized that it clearly reflects the aggressive and chaotic nature of the Iranian regime. Furthermore, it accused Iran of attempting to drag the region into chaos and instability by creating crises and perpetuating regional tensions.
The statement expressed Yemen’s full solidarity with Qatar. The Yemeni government affirmed its readiness to utilize all available resources to support its Qatari counterparts. Additionally, Yemen pledged its unwavering support for any measures Qatar takes to defend its security, sovereignty, and stability.
Yemen’s condemnation underscores the importance of regional stability and cooperation. As tensions rise, the international community must remain vigilant and proactive in addressing such aggressive actions.
