The Republic of Yemen has expressed strong condemnation and outrage over the provocative statements issued by Israel against its neighboring ally, Saudi Arabia.
In a statement received by Yemen TV, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the dangers posed by these arrogant Israeli remarks. The ministry emphasized that these statements not only target Saudi Arabia but also represent a serious escalation that threatens the stability of the entire region. Yemen called on the international community and the United Nations to take a clear and firm stance against these violations, which blatantly undermine all international efforts aimed at achieving peace.
The statement reiterated that Saudi Arabia has consistently served as a true advocate for peace. It has proposed serious and realistic peace initiatives to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict. Notable among these initiatives are King Fahd’s plan from 1981 and the Arab Peace Initiative from 2002. These proposals remain the most realistic and applicable options for achieving comprehensive peace. However, Israeli obstinacy continues to thwart any fair peace efforts, as it attempts to impose an illegitimate reality that serves its colonial interests at the expense of Palestinian and Arab rights.
The statement reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position, both from the government and the people, in support of Saudi Arabia against any attempts to undermine its sovereignty or its pivotal role in defending Arab and Islamic causes. Yemen urged the enhancement of diplomatic efforts to support Arab peace initiatives and rejected any attempts to impose unjust or arbitrary solutions that compromise the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Yemen’s firm stance highlights the importance of unity among Arab nations in the face of external provocations. The call for international support reflects a broader desire for lasting peace and stability in the region.
