The Republic of Yemen’s Trust convened a significant meeting of the Technical Committee today at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo. This meeting, which will continue until June 24, 2025, brings together delegations from member states and representatives from specialized Arab organizations.
The meeting, chaired by Yemen’s Acting Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Ali Saleh Mousa, aims to address several key topics. These include the unification and modernization of regulatory frameworks for specialized Arab organizations. A primary focus will be on defining the roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Director-General within these organizations. Additionally, the committee plans to incorporate education allowances into the core benefits outlined in the unified regulatory frameworks.
Discussions will also cover the standardization of salary scales, wages, and allowances across specialized Arab organizations. The committee will examine issues related to social security for contractors and work towards adopting a unified financial and accounting system, including electronic payment mechanisms.
Furthermore, the meeting will explore the executive regulations for additional work compensations and performance bonuses. It will also consider renaming the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development and reviewing the regulations specific to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. Lastly, the committee aims to develop a tailored system and regulations for the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, aligning them with its financial operations.
This meeting represents a crucial step towards enhancing collaboration and efficiency among Arab organizations, ensuring they operate under a cohesive and modern regulatory framework.
