Arab, Islamic, and international condemnations continue to pour in against the terrorist attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. These attacks targeted Abha and King Khalid International Airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in civilian casualties. Observers describe these assaults as a serious escalation and a direct threat to the Kingdom’s security and regional and international air navigation.
The United Arab Emirates condemned the Houthi attacks on King Khalid Airport and a Saudi Airlines plane, which led to the martyrdom of three Saudi citizens and injured several civilians. The UAE emphasized that this aggression represents a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, reaffirming its full solidarity with Riyadh.
Mauritania expressed its strong condemnation of the attacks, affirming its complete solidarity with the Kingdom and rejecting all forms of terrorism. The country stressed the need for regional and international efforts to prevent the recurrence of such assaults.
The United Kingdom condemned the attacks targeting the infrastructure of the airports, affirming its support for the Kingdom in facing the “reckless” assaults by the Houthi militia.
Romania condemned the attacks, describing them as “completely unacceptable.” The country expressed its solidarity with the Kingdom and support for efforts to reduce tensions in the region. Uruguay also expressed its solidarity with the Kingdom and condolences to the families of the victims, reiterating its support for the United Nations’ efforts to achieve a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.
Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif condemned the repeated terrorist attacks, praising the vigilance of the Saudi armed forces in intercepting ballistic missiles. He reaffirmed his country’s steadfast solidarity with the Kingdom and commitment to the Mecca Agreement for mutual defense.
The Muslim World League condemned the “treacherous” attacks, stating that they violate religious values and international laws. The League reiterated the solidarity of Islamic peoples with the Kingdom in all measures taken to protect its security and the safety of its citizens.
The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, condemned the attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and energy facilities, renewing his call for an immediate halt to these aggressions.
ALECSO condemned the attacks that resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, affirming its full solidarity with the Kingdom. The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also condemned the attacks, which resulted in six deaths and thirty-six injuries, considering them a blatant violation of international law and calling for accountability for the terrorist militia.
