During a special event in Berlin, Kluge presented updated guidelines for managing heatwaves. The event featured German Environment Minister Karsten Schneider and Berlin Health Senator Ina Czyborra. The focus was on safeguarding the elderly and other vulnerable groups, as health risks associated with heatwaves continue to rise.

Schneider highlighted that the impacts of climate change are now evident worldwide. He noted that protection against heatwaves has become a social issue.
