Houthi Militia Launches Attack on Al-Masoud Tribe in Al-Bayda

The Houthi militia has conducted a significant assault on the Al-Masoud tribe in Qifah Rad’a, located in Al-Bayda Governorate. This attack resulted in the tragic death of one individual and injuries to twelve others, including three women.

Details of the Attack

Local sources report that the Houthi militia utilized various types of heavy weaponry during the assault, including drones. Additionally, they imposed a severe blockade on the area, exacerbating the situation for residents.

Ongoing Siege and Rising Tensions

For the fifth consecutive day, the Iran-backed Houthi militia has maintained its siege on the Al-Masoud region. Tensions have escalated since the militia launched its military campaign in the district a week ago. The ongoing conflict has placed immense pressure on the local population.

Historical Context of Violence

Since the Houthi takeover of Al-Bayda a decade ago, the militia has committed numerous atrocities against its inhabitants. These actions range from indiscriminate shelling of villages to imposing blockades, leading to killings and displacement of civilians.

The situation in Al-Bayda remains critical as the Houthi militia continues its aggressive tactics against local tribes. The international community must pay attention to these developments to seek a resolution to the ongoing violence in Yemen.
