Yemeni Embassy Celebrates 62nd Anniversary of September 26 Revolution in Morocco

 

Event Highlights Community Engagement and National Pride

The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Morocco hosted a vibrant celebration today, marking the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. The event drew significant attendance from the Yemeni community in Morocco, including students and researchers studying at Moroccan universities.

Ambassador’s Message of Unity and Progress

During the celebration, Ambassador Azzeddine Al-Asbahi extended his congratulations to the political leadership, particularly President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and all Yemenis both at home and abroad. He emphasized the importance of this national occasion, describing it as a pivotal moment in Yemen’s history. The ambassador noted that the revolution laid the foundation for the Yemeni republic, establishing principles of justice, equality, and the elimination of class discrimination and social injustice.

Significance of the September Revolution

Al-Asbahi highlighted the revolutionary movement’s role in liberating the Yemeni people from oppression and ignorance. He urged the community to defend the achievements of the September Revolution now more than ever, emphasizing the need to restore national dignity and achieve stability and development in Yemen.

Promoting Education and Knowledge

The ambassador also stressed the importance of valuing education and knowledge as essential elements for keeping pace with global advancements. He underscored that these values are crucial for building a bright future for Yemen.

Recognition of Academic Excellence

At the conclusion of the event, Ambassador Al-Asbahi, alongside members of the diplomatic mission and the cultural attaché in Rabat, honored 38 Yemeni researchers who earned their PhD degrees from Moroccan universities. This recognition reflects the embassy’s appreciation for their significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge and education.

This celebration not only commemorated a vital chapter in Yemen’s history but also reinforced the commitment to education and community development among Yemenis in Morocco.
