Yemeni Embassy in Morocco Hosts 61st Anniversary of October 14 Revolution Cup

The Yemeni Embassy in Morocco organized a football tournament to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. The event took place at Ibn Rushd Stadium in Rabat, featuring teams from Rabat and Kenitra, comprised of Yemeni students studying at Moroccan universities.

Ambassador’s Message of Hope

During the event, Ambassador Azzaldin Al-Asbahi addressed attendees, including embassy members, the Yemeni community, and students. He emphasized that celebrating the anniversary of the October 14 Revolution reaffirms the ongoing success of this significant movement, which aims to secure Yemen’s future and empower youth in nation-building.

Al-Asbahi stated, “The unity of the great Yemeni revolutions of September and October has solidified through the strength of this people. We see this spirit embodied in these young individuals who exemplify a commitment to education and openness to modernity. They reject any fragmentation of our great nation and stand firm against the Houthi militias that seek to return the people of wisdom and faith to the shadows.”

Recognition of Leadership

The ambassador extended his congratulations to the political leadership, specifically President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government, on this momentous occasion.

Tournament Conclusion and Awards

At the conclusion of the tournament, Ambassador Al-Asbahi presented the championship trophy and gold medals to the Rabat team, who secured first place. The Kenitra team, which finished in second place, received silver medals.

This event not only celebrated a pivotal moment in Yemen’s history but also highlighted the importance of unity and resilience among the Yemeni community in Morocco.
